grins and giggles galore: Summer Days

I have been bad about posting during the month of July. We've just been busy with the same old stuff. :) We try to get outside in the morning and play a little before it gets too hot. Then we wait until Daddy gets home to go back out. I am definitely ready for some cooler days!! These boys stay busy though, wherever they are.

Isaiah has become a great climber...unfortunately for me! Ha! He climbs on the sofa, the chair, the kitchen table, and anything else he sees. I'm probably going to jinx myself, but he is finally sleeping through the night on a consistent basis! It only took him 16 months. :) And yes, he is 16 months old today! Hard to believe! Over the last few days, he has finally started saying "Mama." That's his only word for now, but it sure makes me happy! He definitely lets you know what he wants though and follows directions great (if he wants to!). He is a really good eater too. He will eat pretty much anything. He has a thing for shoes right now too. He will bring your shoes to you about 20 times a day and loves to wear them too! He is still our stinker, our strong-willed child. :)

Anderson has been playing and watching a lot of baseball. He plays so good by himself during the day which is great. I can get stuff done while Isaiah naps. He is all about numbers and counting these days! He really is so smart. He can pretty much count to 30 with no help. And a lot of the times he continues on to 100 with just a little help from me. He counts everything! He is getting really good at writing his name. He can do the "A" and the "n" all by himself and then he traces the rest of the letters. He's getting pretty good at tracing. He is also doing great with swimming! It's amazing how he has improved during the month. He can really dive off the diving board and go so much deeper than he was. He swims all over the pool! Anderson is still a great eater and loves to eat any chance he gets. :) I can never sneak a snack around here!
