A Friend

It doesn't seem right to just go on and do another blog post without stopping and sharing this. This past week has been a really horrible week for a lot of people from my small hometown, including my sister and our family. My sister's best friend since birth passed away Monday. She was 32 years old. To us it seems like her life ended way too soon. We don't understand why God chose to take her this soon, but for some reason He did. I know her family won't read this blog, so I guess this is really for my sister. You see, my sister is the kind of friend everyone wishes he/she had. When she loves you, she really loves you and will always be there for you no matter what. And that's how she was with "B." They didn't live close anymore, but Jamie called every day to check on her and visited with her as much as she could. She was that sunshine that her family needed during these last few weeks when "B" was so sick. When I went to the visitation, every one of her family members told me how special Jamie is, and they don't know what they would have done if she hadn't been there. That's just how Jamie is. I cannot explain it, but if you are around her, you just know. Jamie, I am so sorry that "B" was taken away from you way too early, and I cannot imagine how much you will miss her. She was a lucky girl to have you as a friend, and you were lucky to have her. I love you both. :)
