Oglethorpe Alumni Weekend

I'm so mad at myself for not taking the camera last weekend. We drove up to Atlanta for Oglethorpe's alumni baseball game. Don't ask me why I didn't take it! I could have gotten some really cute pics. I'll just write about it instead. We got there around 10 AM for the alumni game. Steven played while Anderson and I watched. AJB did really good! He had a baseball in hand and was outside, so he was in heaven. We went back to the hotel in the afternoon for AJB to take a nap - very short nap! Then OU played a game at 4:00, so we went back for that game. Steven got to see lots of good friends, and we had fun! We took Anderson's car, so he had a great time riding around. By the time we got back to the hotel that night, Anderson was a dirty little boy! And for those of you who know me, it wasn't long before he was in the tub!

It's always special when OU alumni weekend rolls around. This is where Steven and I met up again after twenty years of not seeing each other. Two years ago I drove up to meet him and see him for the first time since 2nd grade! I remember that weekend so well. When I first got there, he tried to make me believe that his friend Wes was actually him - now Wes is about a foot taller than Steven! But I immediately knew Steven when I saw him even though it had been so long. I had so much fun that weekend, but I do remember thinking "gosh I don't know if I can keep up with this guy!". I'm usually in bed by 11 or 12. And these people are still going strong at that time! I eventually recovered. :) Who would have thought this is where we would be now!?! God has blessed our family so much, and I thank Him everyday for sending Steven to me. He is the perfect match for me, and I love him so much!
