Clifford
Let me start by saying that I am not one of those moms who lets her one year old watch television. I totally disagree with television/DVDs for babies or toddlers. And I could really go off on that for a long time! But I won't. :) So we don't sit around watching Clifford. But Anderson has become very interested in Clifford (or any dog for that matter). It started with his juice boxes. I found them in the organic section of the grocery store, and Anderson immediately points to Clifford when he sees him on the box. We have to look at him on the front and back. :) Then I remembered I had the book Clifford the Small Red Puppy. We started reading it each night before he goes to bed, and he loves finding Clifford. Then I remembered that Clifford comes on PBS, so I thought we would watch it just to see what Anderson did when he saw him. If any of you are around Anderson for long, you will realize he points and says "Uh" to almost anything. That's his language. So when he saw Clifford, he just started saying "Uh" everytime he saw him! He will only watch it for a few minutes, but the whole time he says "Uh." Steven thinks it is pretty funny too, so today at lunch we turned it on Clifford just to hear Anderson say "Uh"! I think the Easter bunny might have to bring a couple more Clifford books to Anderson.

LOL!! Too cute.
ReplyDeleteYeah we don't do TV either but I have to say that Abby laughed out loud at the Smurfs the other day. That Brainy Smurf is a funny character!! :)
Everything in moderation right???
Love y'all!
I agree - a little tv is OK!! And Clifford is a good one to watch!! AJB is a precious little boy!! I never think he and Gavin look alike but they do a little in that second picture :-)
ReplyDeleteWhenever y'all change your minds about TV, the best children's show is The Backyardigans. It comes on Noggin and there are DVD's too. It's SO CUTE! Very normal and they sing the cutest songs. I would watch it if I didn't have a child around! :)
ReplyDeleteI remember reading Clifford to Clayton when he was little - I loved it too!
Love y'all!
