Isaiah is One!!!

Seriously!?! I can't believe you are one! Look at that sweet face. You cannot imagine how much I love you and how much our lives changed when you were born. You are quite the character and keep us on our toes. You make me laugh, and you are Mr. Smiley. :) You make the funniest faces and scrunch your mouth and nose which is just the cutest thing. You are so sweet and love to hug and "love." Looking back at the pictures from when you were born until now makes me see how much you have changed! You look completely different. You are looking so much more like Anderson to me, but yet you are also different. You have that blond hair that I love! And you and Anderson's personalities are like night and day. :) So here is what is going on with you these days...
  • You weigh 19 lbs 4.5 oz and are 29 3/4 inches long. I'm not sure how accurate the weight is because you HATED being on the scales. I was hoping for 20 lbs so we could turn you around in your car seat. :) We'll be working on putting some pounds on. Ha!
  • You are a very good eater! You only eat table food. I still puree most fruits and veggies. You love to taste whatever I am eating and you usually like it. You ate spaghetti a couple of nights ago and loved it. You still love yogurt! You will eat all kinds of fruits and veggies too! However, you hate being in the highchair so we just sit on the floor and eat. :) You won't be still for long!
  • You go to bed between 7:00 and 8:00 and usually wake up about 2 times during the night. :) You nap in the morning and afternoon. If you are awake when I put you down, you always fuss for awhile before you fall asleep. You really don't like being in the bed!
  • You are still nursing.
  • You have four teeth and a few more that are coming in! You aren't enjoying this teething stuff. :)
  • You still love to climb. We are working on "feet first" when you get back down.
  • You try to put on clothes. :) This morning you were trying to put on your socks which was so cute. You try to put on Anderson's jerseys and usually get them over your head but then get mad because you can't get them back off.
  • We have started reading at night before bed. You last for a little while but like to close the book while I'm reading. If you are really tired, you don't want to read.
  • You love to swing a bat. You stand up and swing it too!
  • You are taking 3 or 4 steps at a time. But then you get down and crawl. :)
  • You absolutely love Anderson! The other day Anderson took a nap while you did. Yours was pretty short that day, so it was just the two of us for awhile. When Anderson woke up, you were so excited!
  • You say "Mama" a lot and a bunch of sounds. It sounded like you said "banana" this morning. :)
  • You have started pitching fits. I asked the doctor if this was normal for a "just turned one year old" and he didn't act like it was abnormal. So the fun begins. :)
  • You LOVE to be outside!!!
  • You don't like to go to the doctor or the nursery.
  • You are still a Mama's boy and you just laugh and smile when Daddy brings you to me in the morning. :)
  • You love to wave.
  • You wave your arms in the air when you are excited!
I love you, Isaiah, and look forward to all the new things you will be doing over the next year!!! You are such a blessing to us!!
